We gather to share our Catholic faith in fellowship with others, nurture our maternal hearts, promote spiritual growth and celebrate our calling as mothers.
Mothers are often the keepers of the faith as a family is born and as that family grows. Sometimes people who have been away from the church renew their interest and commitment when motherhood is born into their hearts. Through this ministry, we would like to create a comfort level for new mothers that will allow them to explore and dive more fully into their faith and participation in our parish.
Our faith is both public (community) and private (individual relationship with God). It is our belief that a strong Catholic community can be bolstered by the establishment of an active Moms Ministry.
Monthly Meetings
Moms Ministry typically meets the first Wednesday of the month, 9:30-11 a.m., in rooms 9 and 10 during the school year. Childcare is provided. During the summer, moms and children meet at parks around the area.
Advent by Candlelight
Advent By Candlelight is an annual tradition at St. Joan of Arc and is deeply loved by the women of the parish. The event is an opportunity to prepare the hearts and minds of women for Advent — one of wonder and preparation before the coming of Jesus at Christmas and again someday in his glory.
We would like to see more mothers from the parish join our ministry! If you have any questions, please let us know.
