Ministry to the Sick, Homebound, and Hospitalized
These ministers serve the needs of those unable to attend Mass during illness or infirmity by providing a spiritual and physical connection to those unable to take part in our parish life.
We have a committed group of trained volunteers who bring the Holy Eucharist on a weekly basis to those in our parish family who are unable to attend Mass and receive the Holy Eucharist due to temporary or permanent conditions. These parishioners may be staying in their own homes or with relatives in the parish, some may be cared for in independent or assisted living, or some may be temporarily in convalescence centers. Visits with the homebound are scheduled during the week based on individual needs.
We currently provide Communion and Rosary services to residents in Powell Senior Living, Inn at Olentangy Trails and Ganzhorn Suites.
If you or anyone in your family would benefit from this ministry, please contact the parish office at 614.761.0905 or email the Homebound Ministry Coordinator, Aurora Avanceña, at: homebound@stjoanofarcpowell.org.
